This morning's headline jumped out at me: Stingray kills 'Crocodile Hunter' Irwin. I'm sure more people recognize Steve Irwin than say, the prime minister of England (or perhaps the vice president), but distressing for environmentalists nonetheless. I wonder how much the the Corleones of the stingray world charged the various families of crocodiles. In all seriousness, he was very entertaining and obviously served well as the my space generation's Crocodile Dundee. On a side note, I'm pleasantly surprised at how fast wikipedia updated his lifespan. Take that paper encyclopedias.
And for those slower readers, Steve Irwin did not play Crocodile Dundee.
