The Once and Future Lawyer

I am a lawyer who passed one of the east coast bars, clerked for an east coast appellate court, and am working for a big east coast law firm. I'll give you the straight dope about legal news, entertainment, law school, clerking, studying for the bar, and any other observations based on my day or things I see online. Sarcasm is usually included.

About Me

ECL
I graduated from law school, passed an east coast bar exam, clerked for an east coast appellate court, and work for a big east coast law firm. I am, for lack of a more descriptive term, an east coast lawyer (hence ECL as the current nickname for this blog). Generally, this blog will serve as an outlet for my various rants and observations and hopefully provide my readership with a few laughs. I try to keep it up-to-date with witty and relevant comments from a legal perspective on current news, events, and media/entertainment, but my goal with this blog is to be able to provide a unique insight on these topics from a young, east coast lawyer's perspective. The archives contain my thoughts on law school during my third year, law review, applying and going to law school, the incredible debt, taking the bar exam, and clerking, as well as other color commentary. This blog is anonymous for a number of reasons. Nothing in this blog attempts to give or should be construed as giving legal advice.
